Carina White

Carina White is a television presenter, radio broadcaster, social commentator and keynote speaker who has appeared on a variety of TV and radio shows on the topics of racism, parenting and business.

She has spoken on Sky News, Good Morning Britain (2020-) and the Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 (2021-), as well as on BBC Radio 1xtra and Times Radio.

Her passion soon got her noticed, and in 2020 she was voted one of the Voice newspaper’s ‘One to Watch and the ‘We Are The City’ Rising Star of the Year.

In 2019, Carina co-founded the Black Mums Upfront podcast, which brings together black mothers to discuss topics including sex, childbirth, death, gender stereotypes, family and race.

Carina is passionate about tackling inequalities and racism and has spoken at some of the biggest conferences and panel sessions.

Carina white’s career started in sport, working as the Head of Lifestyle Management and Client PR for Straight Ace Sports Management before using her education in social work to begin a career as an advocate for others.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows her, as she has always been passionate about diversity, equality and inclusion, as well as using her voice to effect change and help others.

She has worked as a Director for GameChangers Youth, a programme which empowers young people from London to run their own social action projects, and as Head of Operations for Best of Africa Awards, a company which celebrates African-owned philanthropic efforts.

Alongside her philanthropy and social work, she has worked for MediaCom, Tongue Tied Media Ltd, RAPP Worldwide and ITB Worldwide in roles including Marketing Manager, Senior Influencer Partnerships Manager, and Account Director.

She has featured on programmes across the BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4, as well as on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio London and BBC Radio 5.

She has spoken on the topics of racism in sport, the death of George Floyd, black communities and the police, colourism, skin lightening, women’s safety, injustices in education, imposter syndrome and representation of gender and race in the media.

Carina White – ‘Black Mums Upfront’ Podcast

In 2019, Carina co-created the Black Mums Upfront Podcast, which allowed black mums to discuss the reality of modern-day motherhood and black motherhood.

The aim of the podcast was to empower black mums to confront stereotypes in mainstream media.

She was also named as a board member for Carina the Black Collective of Media in Sport (BCOMS) in 2019, is a school governor at Saint Gabriel’s College, and, in 2021, was a founding member of NSPCC’s Childline Circle.
