Alpine ski racer Charlie Guest made history in 2019 when she became the first British skier to win a race in the Alpine European Cup.
She went on to record two more European Cup victories in Hasliberg in January 2020 and Reiteralm in March 2021.
Charlie has also competed at the Olympic Winter Games, Australia/New Zealand Cup, and the Junior and Senior British National Alpine Ski Championships.
She is best known for competing in the slalom, the giant slalom, and the alpine combined disciplines.
In 2014, Charlie suffered a serious back injury, fracturing four vertebrae in a training accident.
Her recovery journey was long and challenging, but she returned to competitive skiing with remarkable resilience.
Her comeback story has been a source of inspiration for many athletes facing similar challenges.
Charlie announced her retirement from Alpine skiing following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.

Charlie Guest first started skiing when she was just three years old. Her home in the Scottish Highlands provided her with the perfect training opportunities.
Proving to be a natural, she joined the British Ski Academy in France aged 12, and it wasn’t long before the medals started coming in.
When she was 14, she became the youngest British girl to win an international junior race.
She won her first senior British title in 2013 and would go on to win over a dozen medals, including six golds and eight titles at the junior and senior British National Alpine Ski Championships.

Charlie Guest | Career Setbacks
Her sporting career has not been without its setbacks, however.
In 2014, whilst training in Sweden, she hit a boulder and broke four vertebrae in her spine. An injury like this has the potential to, at best, end her career and, at worst, paralyse her.
Luckily, she was wearing a back protector, which meant her recovery was quicker, and she was back on the slopes just three months later.
Outside of her international sporting career, Charlie has studied Psychology at the University of Aberdeen, and works closely with the Scottish Institute of Sport, who provide strength, conditioning, nutrition, and physiotherapy to world-class athletes.
