Nicknamed “Magic Chris”, Chris Waddle was known as one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe. During his professional playing career, which lasted over 20 years, he played for several clubs, most notably Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Olympique de Marseille, and Sheffield Wednesday. Other clubs include Sunderland, Falkirk, Bradford City, Burnley, and Torquay United. He also played in non-league football with Workshop Town, Glapwell, and Stocksbridge Park Steels. Over his club career, he made an impressive 662 appearances, scoring 126 goals.

As an international player, Chris earned 62 caps for England between 1985 and 1991, which included being a member of the team that reached the quarter finals of the 1986 FIFA World Cup, semi-finals of the 1909 World Cup, and played at the UEFA Euro 1988. He made 62 appearances and scored 6 goals in the six years he was with the team.

During the 1997-98 season, he had a spell as manager of Burnley, but it was not a career path he chose to take.

Since retirement, he has appeared frequently on BBC Radio 5 Live and in a column for The Sun newspaper. He is also a hugely popular sports speaker, available for corporate events, award ceremonies, sport functions, and media broadcasts.
