Dan Biggar is a distinguished fly-half who plays at both club level and on the international stage for Wales and the British and Irish Lions.

A popular player, he also won the BBC Cymru Sports Personality of the Year Award back in 2015.

Born in Morriston, Swansea in 1989, Dan Biggar rose through the ranks with both Swansea R.F.C. and Welsh provincial side Ospreys – where, aged just 22, he was the side’s youngest player to reach 100 appearances.

Dan Biggar stayed with the Ospreys until 2018, before signing for Northampton Saints.

With the Ospreys, he saw several honours and notable achievements as a player, with highlights including sealing the match-winning conversion in the 2012 PRO12 Grand Final, as well as several Celtic League titles and became Ospreys and the Pro 14’s record points scorer with 2203 points to his name.

He continued this success with Northampton Saints, helping his side lift the Premiership Rugby Cup in 2019.

In 2022, Dan Biggar signed for French Top 14 side Toulon and the following year was part of the team which won the 2023 European Challenge Cup Final against Glasgow Warriors.

Dan Biggar made his international debut at the age of 19, having previously played at U18 level for Wales and has established himself in the number 10 jersey for more than a decade, scoring more than 500 points for his Country to date.

He was a key part of Wales’ victory in three Six Nations Championships, in 2021, 2019 and 2013, with a Grand Slam win in 2019 and Wales’ 28th title in the 2021 competition.

He has represented his Country in three World Cup tournaments 2023, 2019 and 2015, and was instrumental in getting Wales through to the quarter-finals in 2015 having taken over kicking duties from Wales’s injured first kicker, Biggar then kicked an impressive 56 points across the tournament.

In 2017, Dan Biggar was selected as part of the British and Irish Lions squad to tour New Zealand and, more recently, their 2021 tour of South Africa.
